A yet-to-be-identified 19-year-old man was airlifted last Thursday, after being hit attempting to cross traffic on Blowing Rock Road near Highway 105 according to police. He was taken by helicopter to Johnson City Medical Center in Tennessee where he remains receiving treatment by their staff.
The Boone, NC car accident occurred just prior to 9 am on August 17th when a driver of a 2013 Ford Escape. The cause of the life-threatening crash remains under investigation as of Tuesday, August 22nd. No charges have been filed and the Watauga County District Attorney’s Office will be involved in whether to have charges filed upon conclusion of the investigation.
