One person was injured following an accident in Rowan County. The collision occurred at approximately 12:20 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 801 and Graham and Hall roads.
a Toyota ran a stop sign at the end of Graham Road and struck a BMW that was driving on Highway 801. The BMW ran off the road, across the railroad tracks, and into an old storage building. Emergency responders worked for several minutes to rescue the driver of the BMW.
The driver was taken from the scene by Rowan County EMS. The two occupants in the Toyota were not injured. The police said the Toyota was at fault for running the stop sign.
