Two people passed away in a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 85 Wednesday evening October 25th in Spartanburg. The collision happened near mile marker 72 in the southbound lanes at roughly 10:28 p.m.
A Chevrolet Camaro was driving north when the driver lost control of the vehicle, crossed the barrier, and hit a Buick Enclave SUV and tractor-trailer head-on. The driver of the tractor-trailer was transported to the hospital for injuries they sustained in the crash.
The drivers of the Camaro and the Buick unfortunately passed away on the scene. the driver of the Camaro has been identified as 20-year-old Mugahed Abduliah Algomai. A Lexus was also hit by debris from the collision.
The investigation into this collision is ongoing.
