A man passed away in the early evening of Saturday, November 4 in an accident in Pender County at the intersection of US 421 and Malpass Corner Road. The crash occurred just after 4 p.m.

The man who passed has been identified as 21-year-old Sebastian Wedesky. He was killed in the crash. Wedesky reportedly failed to yield at the intersection, crossing the path of a northbound vehicle.

The incident is still under investigation at this time. No charges have been filed.
