A man passed away in a crash on Thursday evening October 19th in Pickens County. The head-on collision occurred at 8:24 p.m. at 2127 Greenville Highway in Liberty.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said a 2017 Jeep SUV was driving north on Old Greenville Highway while a 1993 Dotson pickup was driving south. The vehicles collided head-on. The driver of the Dotson pickup, who has been identified as Johnathan James Hall, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

This incident remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
