A motorcyclist passed away due to a head-on collision that happened early Wednesday morning on October 11th in Spartanburg County. The crash occurred on Valley Falls Road near Tool Road at approximately 12:40 a.m.South Carolina Highway Patrol said a motorcycle was traveling southbound when it crossed over the center line into oncoming traffic and hit a car traveling north. 

The motorcyclist and the driver of the car were both taken to Spartanburg Medical Center for treatment. The motorcyclist died at about 4 a.m. in the hospital. The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office identified the motorcyclist as 40-year-old Terry Lee Fowler.
