One person died Tuesday, September 26th in a motorcycle collision in Wilson. At approximately 8:02 p.m., officers with the Wilson Police Department responded to the area of 1870 Tarboro Street in reference to the accident.
A motorcycle and a car collided in the roadway. The driver of the motorcycle, 30-year-old Alexis Ray Ruffin of Wilson, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car, 19-year-old Jalila Tyshae Newsome, of Wilson, did not sustain any injuries in the accident.
The investigation into this accident is ongoing.
