One person passed away after a collision in Concord on Saturday evening September 30th. The crash occurred at approximately 6 p.m. along Winecoff School Road. The driver of an unregistered dirt bike was traveling south on the road from Highway 29A when a driver in a Toyota Corolla, traveling north, made a left turn onto Shady Lane Avenue at the same time.
While the dirt bike was heading south on Winecoff School Road from Highway 29 the Corolla, traveling north, made a left turn onto Shady Lane Avenue in front of the dirt bike, causing the two vehicles to hit each other.
The driver of the dirt bike has been identified as 30-year-old Joshua Maurice Randolph, from Concord. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials say he was wearing a helmet during the crash. The driver of the Corolla, 54-year-old Karen Elaine Bargsley, from Concord, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle.
