On Thursday, November 30 a woman passed away after attempting to cross a busy street. Just after midnight, 58-year-old Lisa Pettis was crossing the street in the 2800 block of The Plaza when she was hit by a subcompact SUV driven by a 40-year-old woman. Pettis was not in the crosswalk. Pettis was treated for serious injuries at the scene before taking her to the hospital where she later passed away. The driver wasn’t impaired, but the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
