A pedestrian was struck and killed Friday morning, September 1st after being hit by a car in Kings Mountain. Kings Mountain police were called just before 7:30 a.m. to the Highway 74 Bypass near the Interstate 85 ramp. Upon arrival, police were told a car struck a pedestrian, and officers found the individual hit just off the roadway unresponsive. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police identified the driver of the car as 36-year-old Kevin Mullin, of Forest City. It has not been released if the driver sustained any injuries. However, they were unable to identify the victim after searching for his identification.
The crash is still under investigation.
