This news is to promote awareness around the dangers of motor vehicle accidents in the states of North Carolina and South Carolina. We deeply understand the profound impacts these accidents can have on so many families and loved ones.
A woman from Durham passed away and two boys were injured in a collision just off Interstate 85 early Sunday morning, October 8th. The crash occurred right before 5 a.m. along North Duke Street at the off-ramp for I-85 South.
27-year-old Miriam Landin was driving a 2015 Nissan Versa west on the off-ramp headed toward Duke Street when she lost control of the car. The car struck the right side guard rail and then slid sideways across the grassy shoulder and across the intersection of I-85 and Duke Street. After the wreck, the car ended up facing south in the southbound lanes of Duke Street.
Landin suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital where she died several hours later. The two boys were taken to the hospital with what police described as non-life-threatening injuries.
At The Law Offices of Jason E. Taylor, our hearts and prayers go out to the family, friends, and loved ones of Miriam who suffered this tragic loss of life. We also extend our prayers to the young people facing injuries and wish them a healthy recovery. We share our condolences for this devastating car accident.
