The South Carolina Highway Patrol said a passenger in an SUV passed away after colliding into a tractor-trailer hauling steel beams Tuesday night, August 29th.

at approximately 8:15 p.m., crews responded to a call about a crash on SC 14 near. A tractor-trailer was traveling north and turning onto a private drive into a business when the SUV hit the steel beams extending from the tractor-trailer.

There were three people in the SUV. The right front passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, the victim has been identified as 28-year-old Andres Perez-Lopez.

As of now, no charges have been filed in the accident.
