On Monday, August 14th 72-year-old Raymond Holmes Malone, Jr. was attempting to cross the street in the 3100 block of Randall Parkway. He was riding his bicycle in the crosswalk near Brailsford Road when he was hit by a car driving down Randall Parkway.

After the collision, first responders performed life-saving measures on Malone and he was taken to the hospital, he later died at the hospital due to his injuries.

The driver of the vehicle did not sustain any injuries from the collision. As of now, no charges have been filed in regard to the crash. Wilmington Police say the investigation is continuing.
