A 14-year-old boy was killed on Friday night September 29th after being struck by a vehicle while standing outside of a broken down vehicle. The boy has been identified as Rolando Nunez Moreno.

Moreno was outside of a vehicle on I-526 at approximately 8:12 p.m. on Friday on exit 16A towards West Montague Avenue when he was struck. North Charleston Police say the car that struck Moreno went airborne and collided with a residence on Ozark Street.

No other serious injuries were reported, and the investigation into this incident is ongoing.
