A hit-and-run killed a man on Monday, November 13. The incident happened at approximately 7:30 p.m. Troopers are looking for the driver who struck and killed the man pushing a bicycle across a busy Eastern Carolina highway.

The victim in the accident has been identified as 63-year-old Gary Padrick. He died in the crash at Highway 258 and Hickory Road. The vehicle that struck Padrick is possibly a silver or gray Hyundai SUV.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
