One person passed away and two minors were seriously hurt following a motorcycle collision at the intersection of 10th and Market Streets on Monday, December. 25. 29-year-old Jason Tutchton was crossing the intersection of 10th and Market Street on his motorcycle when he collided with a dirt bike. The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m.
The initial investigation showed two motorcycles were traveling eastbound on Market Street when a dirt bike crossed the southbound lane at 10th Street. Market Street traffic did have a green light at the time. One of the motorcycles collided with an off-road dirt bike that had a 10-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy riding on it. The two minors were taken by EMS to the hospital and had non-life-threatening injuries. The second motorcyclist was ejected from the bike and received minor injuries.
Police say the kids did not have on helmets and it was not legal for the bike to be on public roads.
