Charges have been filed in connection to an accident that left one woman dead and two young people injured in Wilkes County on Tuesday morning September 26th. One of the juveniles has life-threatening injuries.
At roughly 7:30 a.m., a driver in a Dodge Ram truck was going east on Macedonia Church Road near Money Road, crossed the center line, and hit a car head-on. The driver of the car that was hit has been identified as 29-year-old Augusta Hill from Wilkes County. She died at the scene. The two juveniles in the car with her were taken to the hospital.
Neither Hill nor the young person with life-threatening injuries were wearing seatbelts, but the juvenile with non-life-threatening injuries was wearing a seatbelt. The driver of the truck that crashed into the car has non-life-threatening injuries and has been charged with misdemeanor death by a motor vehicle driving left of center, and driving while license suspended.
At The Law Offices of Jason E. Taylor, our hearts and prayers go out to the family, friends, and loved ones of Augusta who suffered this tragic loss of life. We also extend our prayers to the young people facing life-threatening injuries and wish them a healthy recovery. We share our condolences for this devastating car accident.
