A pedestrian was struck and killed on Thursday, January 11 in an incident that shut down Bragg Boulevard for several hours. At approximately 12:30 a.m., officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a pedestrian crash in the 3000 block of Bragg Boulevard, near the intersection of Fort Bragg Road. The victim has been identified as 59-year-old Rex Smith of Fayetteville. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two cars hit and killed the man walking in the roadway. Neither car stopped or came back to the scene. No information has been shared yet on the drivers of the multiple vehicles that hit the pedestrian.
