A woman from Johnston County was severely injured in a car accident on Saturday afternoon November 11. The incident occurred at roughly 4 p.m. at Grace Road and Federal Road intersect. The woman’s sedan was T-boned by another car, sending it tumbling across a yard and into the side of a home’s garage.

The garage was demolished and a boat and equipment stored inside were destroyed.

The engine of the woman’s car was ripped out of the vehicle and sent sliding down Grace Road. The two young individuals in the other car were uninjured.

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
