Two people passed away after a collision on Thursday, November 2nd in Moore County.

According to State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred on NC Highway 24/27 near McDuffie Road and involved three vehicles.

A 30-year-old man from Dunn was driving a Chevy Cruze east on NC 24/27 when he abruptly crossed the center line and drove into the path of a semi-truck traveling west.

Both the man and his 25-year-old female passenger were killed. No other injuries were reported.

NC 24/27 was closed for hours while troopers investigated the crash.
