A tractor-trailer struck a motorcycle in an accident over the weekend that left two people dead. The wreck occurred on Sunday, September 17th at approximately 10:45 a.m. on I-385 north about 16 MM, which is 2 miles west of Gray Court, in Laurens County.
a 2023 Kenworth tractor-trailer and a 1998 Suzuki motorcycle were both heading north when the tractor-trailer rear-ended the motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle and the passenger were killed. The victims have been identified as 38-year-old Lindsey Diane Billings, of Laurens County, and 55-year-old James Scott Lewis, of Greenville.
The tractor-trailer driver was injured and taken by ambulance to the hospital. The current state of his injuries is unknown.
