We deeply understand the profound impacts these accidents can have on so many families and loved ones.
Two people were killed on Saturday, November 11, in a wreck on Interstate 40. At roughly 1:40 p.m. on Saturday, 35-year-old Gregory Porter Jr. was driving a Lexus sedan westbound on I-40 near the Harrison Avenue exit in the far-left lane. 30-year-old Julian Turner was in the front right passenger seat.
Another person was driving a Subaru Legacy Outback that was traveling westbound on the interstate in the middle lane. The initial investigation shows Porter was traveling at a high speed, weaved into the lane of the Subaru, and collided with it. This caused the Lexus to strike a guardrail and tree line, eventually overturning. The investigation also indicated that the occupants of the Lexus were not wearing seatbelts. Porter Jr. and Turner died from their injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the Subaru sustained minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
At The Law Offices of Jason E. Taylor, our hearts and prayers go out to the family, friends, and loved ones of both Gregory and Julian who suffered this tragic loss of life. We also extend our prayers to the person facing injuries and wish them a healthy recovery. We share our condolences for this devastating car accident.
