At least one person was hurt after they drove a car through a home in Huntersville Sunday afternoon on September 25. The incident occurred at approximately 5 p.m. on Lawther Road in the Mirabella Estates neighborhood, the Huntersville Fire Department said.
Firefighters said the car went in one end of the house and drove out the other. There was a trail of damage throughout the house, including a staircase that was split in two. The car came to a rest against a fire hydrant in the backyard. The driver of the car was taken to the hospital and people in the house sustained minor injuries.
After the collision, a sign stating that the home was unsafe was placed on the front porch. Construction crews were seen outside on Monday morning, presumably beginning repairs. It has not been released why the car drove through the home or if anyone will be charged.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
At The Law Offices of Jason E. Taylor, our hearts and prayers go out to the family whose house is undergoing repairs and we also extend our prayers to the person facing injuries and wish them a healthy recovery. We share our condolences for this devastating car accident.
