A student was taken to the hospital with minor injuries following a hit-and-run accident. A vehicle rear-ended the school bus and fled the scene. The collision happened at the corner of South Tryon Street and Remount Road on Friday morning, December 1 near South End.

The student sustained minor injuries in the crash and was transported to CMC for treatment. Charlotte-Mecklenburg School officials said the school bus had been rear-ended and the vehicle that hit the bus left the scene. It’s unknown how many students were on the school bus at the time of the incident, but the bus was en route to Myers Park High School. Queen City News has reached out to CMPD for further information.
