One person passed away and another was injured in a car accident in York County on Friday night October 20th. The incident occurred at approximately 10:15 p.m. A Honda Accord was traveling on I-77 north and crashed into an Audi that was also traveling north on I-77.

After colliding with the Audi, the Honda traveled off the roadway into a tree near mile marker 77 in Rock Hill. The driver of the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene and has been identified as 24-year-old Maryuri Bautista, from Columbia. Emergency first responders transported the driver of the Audi to the hospital with serious injuries.
