A man passed away following a crash in Fayetteville the collision occurred on Friday, November 24 at approximately 9:55 p.m. on Stacy Weaver Drive.
The initial investigation shows there were two cars involved, a Toyota and a Chrysler. The driver of the Toyota was taken to the hospital in critical condition where he later died as a result of his injuries. He was identified on Saturday as 27-year-old Robert McGirt. The driver of the Chrysler was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The Toyota appeared to have crossed the roadway’s center line and was struck by the Chrysler.
The incident remains under active investigation. No charges have been filed.
