A pedestrian passed away in a hit-and-run accident on a North Carolina interstate early Tuesday morning, November 21. The collision occurred at approximately 5 a.m. on I-240 West near the interchange of Haywood Road in West Asheville.
The initial investigation showed an unknown vehicle traveling west on I-240 struck a man, who has been identified as 50-year-old Ronald William Jenkins. Jenkins passed away due to his injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
