A woman passed away in Lincoln County Friday evening after she failed to stop at a stop sign before being hit by another vehicle. The accident occurred at roughly 5:15 p.m. on Friday, November 17 at Reepsville Road and Cansler Road.
A 2002 Toyota RAV4 was traveling west on Cansler Road. The driver, Susan Willis Wilson, failed to stop at the stop sign and was hit by a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe driving south on Reepsville Road. Wilson died at the scene due to her injuries. The Tahoe driver, 56-year-old Desma Ann Hart, and a juvenile passenger were taken to Atrium Health Lincoln to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers closed the roadway near the area for approximately two hours for their on-site investigation. Police don’t believe speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.
At The Law Offices of Jason E. Taylor, our hearts and prayers go out to the family, friends, and loved ones of Susan who suffered this tragic loss of life. We also extend our prayers to Desma and the young person facing injuries and wish them a healthy recovery. We share our condolences for this devastating car accident.
