One person passed away Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 11 in Oconee County. The wreck occurred on Highway 11 near the intersection with Mountain Road and Critter Road at approximately 2:30 p.m.
Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said that a 2004 Suzuki Motorscooter was traveling north on SC-11 and a 2010 Kia was traveling east on Mountain Road when the vehicles collided.
The Oconee County Coroner said 41-year-old Dustin Tyler Abercrombie, of Seneca, was pronounced dead at the scene. Abercrombie was driving the motor scooter when the crash happened.
The investigation into this accident is ongoing.
