A Rocky River High School student was injured after being hit by a car in east Charlotte on Thursday morning, August 31st. The incident occurred just before 6:30 a.m. on Aventide Lane near Camp Stewart Road.
An 18-year-old Raquel Espinosa, a 12th-grade student was struck by a vehicle while walking to a bus stop. A neighbor’s doorbell camera caught her leaving the house around 6:15 a.m. to head to the bus stop. The camera also A neighbor caught Arquimides Saravia, the victim’s father begging for help moments after he found his daughter lying in the street. Neighbor Morris Graham called 911. The girl’s father said she is in the hospital and is expected to be okay.
It’s uncertain if charges will be filed against the driver.
