According to South Carolina state troopers, a man was killed in Lancaster County on Wednesday night, August 23rd around 9 pm.

Jonathan Hutchinson, a 22-year-old Lancaster resident, was walking along Airport Road near Bridgewood Drive when he was struck by a 1999 Ford van that was traveling north. The victim of the pedestrian accident was taken to the hospital but later died. 

There were also two passengers in the van, one of whom was also hospitalized with unknown injuries. The accident is currently under investigation and it has yet to be determined if there will be any charges to follow.
