A tractor-trailer crash had part of Interstate 77 shut down in south Charlotte near the state line. The crash occurred just after noon on Monday, October 2nd on the northbound side near Exit 1 to Westinghouse Boulevard, the NC Department of Transportation said.
The crash involved an overturned tractor-trailer, causing a spillage. A large amount of trash was seen on the side of the roadway. A Hazmat team was called out to help with the cleanup process. One person was injured in the crash, but their injuries were described as not life-threatening.
Drivers are urged to seek alternate routes. Multiple lanes had initially been reported closed, although the closure now only appears to be affecting the ramp to Westinghouse Boulevard.
At The Law Offices of Jason E. Taylor, We extend our thoughts and prayers to the person facing injuries and wish them a healthy recovery. We share our condolences for this devastating truck accident.
